Alumni are in a special and unique position to "pay it forward". By offering assistance to the school, they can contribute to the future success of the school and the students that are following in their footsteps.
As lean as the times are, the need for participation by community members, both past and present, is ever increasing.
Multiple opportunities are available through the Foundation for Alumni and friends to "pay it forward".
How the Foundation Pays It Forward
Each year the Foundation works with the South High Counseling department to review and award scholarships to promising students. Last year, the Foundation awarded $22,500 in scholarships to students, in addition to the Wallin Scholarships awarded.
The Foundation provides funding to various school programs and activities through grants. To date, the Foundation has provided over $1,000,000 in funding to South High staff and students. The Foundation, for instance, was instrumental in the successful campaign to build a concession facility on the Les Barnard Field.
