The South High Community Band is composed of alumni, parents, teachers, students and friends of South High School. Under the direction of South High Band Director Scott Carter, the band rehearses weekly and performs several concerts throughout the year.

The mission of the South High Community Band is two-fold: to provide South alumni and friends with ongoing music education and enjoyment, and to support South High School's excellent music program. Many of our concerts include performances by South's student music ensembles.
